Malaysia’s community airline, Firefly, recently launched its new route from Subang to Koh Samui which will operate four times a week. This new Firefly route will be in addition to the existing four flights a week linking Koh Samui with Koh Penang.
Firefly’s Head of Communications and Marketing, Ms. Angelina Fernandez
stated, “Firefly is a fully- fledged IMT carrier. Our network expansion is focused on Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, only. In fact, by the first quarter of 2009, we will be introducing many more new destinations in this growth triangle.”
She added, “Koh Samui has always been a popular destination known by name but not by connectivity. We expect a lot of first time leisure travellers to this island from Kuala Lumpur now that we are connecting the capital of Malaysia directly through this route. Now, more people can experience and enjoy what this beautiful island has to offer. We expect Samui to be one of our top Thailand destinations and we are happy to be able to provide the service, which is why we also have holiday packages via Firefly Holidays which provide customised as well as DIY packages to suit the needs of our passengers.”
DSR Overseas property specialists offer a range of Thailand property and 2009 will see new projects launched to add to their impressive Asian property portfolio.
